$395. ANMAC Essential skills assessment fee once the new portal launches

ANMAC has announced changes to its Skilled Migration Services: a new online portal for submitting and tracking skills assessment applications, new assessment names, and revised fees. ANMAC states that the changes are expected to take effect later this year and that it will announce the confirmed implementation date before launch.

The new assessment types and fees published by ANMAC are:

  • Essential, $395: for a nurse or midwife currently registered in Australia; qualifications only.
  • Essential Plus, $495: for a nurse or midwife currently registered in Australia or New Zealand; qualifications and work experience.
  • Comprehensive, $695: for a nurse or midwife registered in an approved overseas country who does not hold registration in Australia or New Zealand.
  • Care, $545: supports the Aged Care Industry Labour Agreement; qualification or work experience criteria.
  • Care Plus, $645: supports the Aged Care Industry Labour Agreement and Designated Area Migration Agreements; qualification and work experience criteria.

ANMAC also lists additional fees: administration $65, GuideME $90, outcome letter update $155, internal review $320 and external appeal $320.

Until the new portal launches, applicants can continue to use the current application process. An application still awaiting an outcome at launch will be transferred to the new system without a new application, new documents or an additional fee, and the new fees do not apply to an application whose fee has already been paid.

An applicant who appoints a migration agent or other representative will give consent electronically through the portal, replacing the current consent form, and will be able to view and revoke the representative’s authority there.

Where a skills assessment fits in a skilled visa application is explained in our skilled visa guide.
