We handle personal information in connection with Australian migration, citizenship, sponsorship, review, skills assessment and related services. Where the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles apply to us, we handle personal information in accordance with those requirements. As a registered migration practice, we also have professional obligations concerning confidentiality and client records.

  • passport, identity and immigration documents;
  • visa status, visa history, travel history and previous immigration applications;

  • education history and enrolment information;
  • financial information where relevant to a visa, sponsorship, review or other matter;

  • documents, statements and evidence provided to us;
  • communications with you and relevant third parties;
  • billing and payment information; and
  • limited technical information necessary for website security and spam prevention.

We do not ask you to provide sensitive identity or migration documents through the general website enquiry form.

How we collect information

We usually collect information directly from you.

Where reasonably necessary and lawful, we may also receive information from a person you authorise, a sponsor or nominator, an employer, education provider, family member, government agency, skills assessing authority, professional adviser or another person involved in your matter.

We may receive limited information through the website when you submit an enquiry, book an appointment or use website security features.

Why we collect and use information

We may use personal information to:

  • assess whether we can assist you and identify an appropriate pathway;
  • provide immigration assistance and other agreed services;
  • prepare, lodge and manage visa, sponsorship, nomination, citizenship, review, skills assessment and related applications or requests;
  • communicate with you and relevant authorities or third parties;
  • verify information and evidence;
  • manage appointments, accounts, invoices and payments;
  • comply with professional, regulatory, taxation, record-keeping and legal obligations;
  • maintain system and website security;
  • respond to complaints or enquiries; and
  • send practice updates where you have consented or it is otherwise permitted by law, with an opt-out available.

Sensitive information

Migration matters can involve sensitive information, including health information, racial or ethnic origin, religious information, criminal record information and other information treated as sensitive under Australian privacy law.

We collect sensitive information only where reasonably necessary for our functions or activities and where we have consent or another lawful basis.

Website enquiries

The general enquiry form is for initial contact only. Please do not enter passport numbers, identity documents, detailed health information, police records or other sensitive documents into that form.

The form sends what you enter to us by email so that we can respond. It is relayed by an email delivery provider; it is not written to a database on this website. Website security and spam-prevention technology may process technical information such as IP address, browser information or device signals, and our hosting provider keeps operational logs in the ordinary way.

Disclosure

Where reasonably necessary, with authority, or otherwise permitted or required by law, information may be disclosed to:

  • the Department of Home Affairs and other Australian Government agencies;
  • the Administrative Review Tribunal;
  • state or territory migration authorities;
  • skills assessing authorities;
  • employers, sponsors and nominators;
  • education providers;
  • translators and interpreters;
  • health, police or other authorities and service providers relevant to an application;
  • Australian legal practitioners, accountants or other professional advisers;
  • insurance or education providers where you ask us for a referral;
  • IT, email, cloud storage, document-management, booking, payment and cybersecurity providers; and
  • regulators, law-enforcement bodies or other persons where authorised or required by law.

We do not sell client personal information.

Overseas processing

Some technology, communications, cloud or other service providers may store or process information outside Australia. Where Australian privacy law requires steps to be taken in relation to an overseas disclosure, we take the steps required by that law.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely risk-free. For sensitive records, please use the document-delivery method we nominate rather than the general enquiry form.

Client files and retention

Registered migration agents have professional record-keeping obligations. Client files are retained for the period required by the Migration Agents Regulations and the Code of Conduct, and for any longer period required by other applicable law or reasonably required for administration.

As at the date of this policy, the Code of Conduct requires specified client files to be kept for at least seven years after the date of the last action on the file.

Access and correction

You may ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. There may be lawful grounds on which access can be refused or limited, and we will explain them if they apply.

Privacy complaints

If you have a concern about how we have handled personal information, contact us and describe the issue. We will consider the complaint, make reasonable enquiries and respond within a reasonable period.

If the Privacy Act applies and you are not satisfied with our response, you may be able to complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au. A complaint about the professional conduct of a registered migration agent may also fall within the functions of the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority.

Cookies and website technology

This website uses only the technology needed to run and secure it. It does not use analytics, advertising or remarketing pixels, or embedded social tracking, and it does not set cookies of its own.

The enquiry forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish people from automated submissions, which processes technical signals for that purpose. Our hosting provider keeps operational and security logs. Booking is handled by an external provider on its own site, under its own privacy terms.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy when our practices, technology or legal obligations change. The current version is published here with the date it was last updated.
