Is my occupation on the list?
Search all 1,076 ANZSCO occupations and see which visa occupation lists each one is on, checked against the instruments in force.
Search occupations
Type your job title, or describe what you do in your own words. You will see the ANZSCO occupation, its skill level, and every visa occupation list it is on, with the assessing authority and any caveat, straight from the instruments.
Occupations, skill levels and unit groups: Australian Bureau of Statistics, ANZSCO 2022 (CC BY 4.0). Lists, assessing authorities and caveats: the instruments on the Federal Register of Legislation, matched by 6-digit code; the MLTSSL, STSOL, ROL and 494 lists use ANZSCO 2013 codes. Being on a list is one requirement; each visa has others.
Where the lists come from
Each list is set by a legislative instrument. The Core Skills Occupation List (LIN 24/089) applies to the subclass 482, and the same 456 occupations are listed for the subclass 186 in LIN 24/093. The MLTSSL, STSOL and ROL (LIN 19/051) apply to the subclass 189, 190, 491 and 485, and the subclass 494 lists are in LIN 19/219. Which ANZSCO edition applies is set by LIN 24/105: see ANZSCO 2022 and ANZSCO 2013.
The search is rebuilt from the latest compilation of each instrument whenever one changes. The compilation and date of each list are shown under the results. To explore the classification itself, with every occupation’s description and tasks, use Search ANZSCO.
