Department forms
Official Department forms.
Use the current forms published by the Department of Home Affairs. Whether a form is required depends on the matter. The full list is on the Department’s form listing.

Form 956 notifies the Department of the appointment of a registered migration agent, legal practitioner or exempt person, or the ending of an appointment. Where our appointment needs to be notified, we will tell you when Form 956 or another appointment notification is required and how to complete it.
Health cover
Overseas health insurance.
Health-cover requirements depend on the visa subclass and the conditions that apply to the visa.
Student visa applicants generally need adequate health-insurance arrangements, and student visas are subject to condition 8501. In practice, eligible students commonly meet the requirement through Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC).
Some other temporary visas also require adequate arrangements. The Skills in Demand visa (subclass 482) is subject to condition 8501. For a Visitor visa (subclass 600), condition 8501 may be imposed in some circumstances, but it is not a condition attached to every Visitor visa. Where it is not imposed, adequate cover is still strongly advisable, because a visitor generally bears their own healthcare costs in Australia. Some bridging visas may also carry health-insurance conditions, depending on the visa and the circumstances of grant.

OSHC and OVHC are different products, and neither is itself the legal test. Products marketed as Overseas Visitors Health Cover (OVHC) are commonly used by temporary visa holders, but “OVHC” is not the requirement under the Migration Regulations. The question is whether the cover satisfies the requirement or condition that applies to your particular visa.
Check the visa requirements and, for a visa you already hold, the conditions on the grant notice, before arranging cover.
