Home Affairs releases four years of Ministerial intervention figures for sections 351 and 195A, and the repealed section 417
The Department has released the number of Ministerial intervention requests received and finalised, and visas granted, for 2022-23 to 2025-26.
The figures were released to No Worries Migration on 30 September 2026 under data access request DA26/07/00392. For section 351 the Department received 3,122 requests in 2025–26 and finalised 3,668, and 338 people were granted a visa. In 2022–23 it received 727.

The rows count different things. Requests received and finalised are counted by request; visas granted are counted by person, and one request can include several people. Dividing one row by another does not give a grant rate.
